It was not until August of 2020 that I tested negative for Covid-19. I kept doing Covid-19 tests every chance I could get since my symptoms seemed to disappear after 10 days in the month of May. When I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and end stage kidney disease, I believed she would leave me. I wanted her to leave. I felt inadequate as a man. Here was my girl, mother of my children and the love of my life looking up to me as a provider; yet here was a disease I understood neither head nor tail of. I did not want her to be part of my misery. I wanted her to have a better life out there. I loved her enough to want her to be happy even if it meant being with someone else.
